About DNA Floribbean Flavors

DNA stands for Distinctive, Nourishing, and Addictive Flavors. Established in Brevard County in 2020, Our family-owned business is rooted in resilience, authenticity, and a commitment to treating every customer like family. Chef Harry Banatte was born in Haiti and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. He graduated from the Florida Culinary Institute in 2006. With over 15 years of culinary experience, he specializes in Haitian Caribbean flavors. His Wife, Tamyia Banatte, born and raised in Miami and relocated to Melbourne, Florida in 2014 to provide better opportunities for her three sons. A culinary mastermind who excels in Soul Food and Health Wellness. Together, we have blended our expertise to create a unique fusion of Caribbean and Soul Food dishes, embodying authenticity, self-love, and unity within the community.

Unfortunately, after we launched, the infamous COVID-19 pandemic broke out and our journey took a turn with significant challenges. After signing for our food trailer in early 2020, we faced job losses due to nationwide shutdowns. By July 2020, we launched our operations despite these setbacks. In October 2020, an incident while working with a non-profit to support at-risk youth led to our eviction, leaving us homeless. For two and a half years, we slept in our car or hotels when affordable, while our sons stayed with friends and relatives. Despite grueling hours, working dangerous nightclub shifts, and financial strain, we persevered through all adversity and our dream continued.

After two and a half years of adversity, our persistence paid off. Our three sons graduated high school and are now pursuing college education. In the aftermath of Hurricane Ian in 2022, DNA Floribbean Flavors provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner for an entire week to FPL workers aiding disaster recovery. Testimonials from this effort are available on our YouTube channel, Dining With DNA. Not only are we a light of hope in our community, But our menu features vibrant and aromatic dishes that's one of a kind. This includes marinated conch, crab, shrimp, fish, tacos, bowls, fried pork, chicken wings, and flavorful sides, all crafted to captivate your taste buds. DNA Floribbean Flavors is more than a business—it’s a testament to overcoming hardship, building family, and fostering community connection.
